NAACP George V. Tankard, Jr. Memorial 5K Road Race

Now in its 23rd year, the NAACP George V. Tankard, Jr. Memorial 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Fun Run takes place in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts.

The event features a USATF-certified 5K road race winding through the town’s scenic streets, circling the harbor and East Chop with sweeping views of Vineyard Sound. A kid-friendly 1-mile Fun Run starts the day from the Summercamp Hotel area. Prizes are awarded after the race, including trophies for top male and female finishers and medals in age categories.

Proceeds benefit the Martha’s Vineyard NAACP Scholarship Fund. All entrants are eligible for a prize drawing for HOKA sneakers, courtesy of sponsors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
