Nantucket Half Marathon
The Nantucket Half Marathon, held annually on Nantucket Island, Massachusetts, is a scenic race recognized as one of the top beach town races on the East Coast by Runners' World. The course features a 13.1-mile half marathon route that winds through sandy beach roads, bike paths, quiet neighborhood streets, and patches of sand, offering stunning ocean views. It starts and finishes at historic Bartlett's Farm and highlights the Nantucket Land Bank's Smooth Hummocks Coastal Preserve, a rare sand plain grassland ecosystem.
The event also includes a 6.6-mile quarter marathon and a free kids' fun run, where children receive a Bartlett's Farm pumpkin. The race attracts hundreds of runners and spectators each year. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
