Course, aid, and logistics

All courses are on trail, including single track and fire road, with one highway crossing. Routes use Oat Hill Mine Trail, the Palisades Trail, Table Rock, and Mount St. Helena Trail. The 50k route has a net gain/loss of about 7,250 feet and is out-and-back. The 35k and half marathon follow portions of the same route with earlier turnarounds; the 10k is an out-and-back on Oat Hill Mine Trail.

Aid and support vary by distance. 50k runners visit aid stations up to six times, with stations positioned along the trail and at the Highway 29 crossing. The 35k has three aid stations; the half marathon has aid at the midpoint and water at lower points; the 10k has water at two points. Runners are advised to plan for stretches up to six miles between stations and to carry up to 40 ounces of water. Drop bags are delivered to the Highway 29 lot. Runners who do not reach the Highway 29 aid station by 11:45 will be converted to the 35k and will not be eligible for awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
