Event overview
The Neuse River Bridge Run 2026 is a multi-event race weekend in New Bern, North Carolina. In-person events take place May 1-2, 2026; virtual events run May 1-9, 2026. Races pass through historic downtown New Bern and surrounding neighborhoods and include runs over the George Cunningham Bridge. The event shares 100% of net revenue equally among five local nonprofit beneficiaries.

In-person races are timed and require a chip-enabled bib. Official timing services are provided by Run the East. The in-person Half Marathon and 10K include a run over the Neuse River Bridge; virtual entrants must plot their own course and cannot run the Neuse River Bridge on the virtual schedule. All races finish on East Front Street in front of the Riverfront Convention Center.
Registration fees increase after February 28, 2026. Current fees: Half Marathon $70, 10K $55, 5K $45, SuperKids $20 (virtual fees match in-person fees). Virtual events are not timed and do not receive place medals; virtual Half Marathon participants receive a participation/finisher medal. Race kits may be picked up at the Riverfront Convention Center or mailed for $7.95 (first mail date April 20). A referral program offers $15 refunds for every three referred sign-ups, up to a full refund. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
