Event overview
The Neuse River Bridge Run 2026 takes place in New Bern, North Carolina with in-person events scheduled for May 1-2, 2026 and virtual events offered Friday, May 1 through Saturday, May 9, 2026. In-person courses run through historic downtown New Bern and surrounding neighborhoods, include a crossing of the George Cunningham Bridge, and the half marathon and 10K include a run over the Neuse River Bridge. All races finish on East Front Street in front of the Riverfront Convention Center of Craven County. Net revenue from the event is shared equally among five nonprofit beneficiaries: Craven Community College Foundation, The Filling Station, Duffyfield Phoenix Project, Mediation Center of Eastern Carolina, and Twin River YMCA.

In-person events are chip-timed and official timing services are provided by Run the East. Virtual events are not officially timed; virtual participants may report results via the RaceJoy app or the event website. Entry fees vary by event and increase after February 28, 2026; current in-person fees are Half Marathon $70, 10K $55, 5K $45, SuperKids $20. Virtual fees match in-person fees. All registrants in the 5K, 10K and half marathon receive a 2026 event t-shirt; half marathon finishers receive a finisher medal. Top three in-person finishers and age-group top three finishers receive medals. Shipping of virtual race kits is available for a fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
