About the race
The Nevada Day Classic is an annual running event held in downtown Carson City, Nevada, celebrating its 36th year in 2025. The race features two distances: an 8K run and a 2-mile run/walk, both taking participants through the historic west side of Carson City on a classic road course. The start and finish lines are located on Curry Street at McFadden Square, with a staggered start to reduce congestion.
Costumes are highly encouraged, adding a festive atmosphere to the event. All finishers receive a custom wooden medal. Organized by Tahoe Mountain Milers, the event supports Guide Dogs for the Blind, with net proceeds benefiting the charity. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
