About the race
New Market STRONG Run/Walk and Festival is a community event in New Market, Maryland. The 5K course covers 3.1 miles through historic streets and surrounding neighborhoods and is officially timed by Racine MultiSports. The event is family- and dog-friendly (leashed dogs) and welcomes all ages and fitness levels.
After the run, the New Market Strong Festival features live music, local vendors, food trucks, and family activities. Proceeds benefit the Hurwitz Breast Cancer Fund to support Frederick Health Hospital Cancer Center. It’s volunteer-run, with 100% of funds staying local, and offers team prizes for fundraising, membership, and spirit.
