Gateway to the Cure Covered Bridge 5K

The Gateway to the Cure Covered Bridge 5K is an annual running event held in Thurmont, Maryland, featuring a challenging 5K loop course suitable for both avid runners and first-time participants. Walking and strollers are welcome, making it inclusive for all. Now in its 11th year, the race supports breast cancer research, with all proceeds donated to the Patty Hurwitz Fund at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Participants receive a custom pint glass with the event logo, and there is food available before and after the race. Awards are given to the top five male and female finishers regardless of age.
