The New River Gorge Rim to Rim Race is a scenic 6-mile road running event held in Fayetteville, West Virginia, within the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve. The course descends 1,300 feet from the south rim, crosses the New River at the gorge bottom, and climbs 1,300 feet to the opposite rim, featuring a steep 20% incline known as the "Burma Burn." The race finishes with a short trail section and offers breathtaking views throughout.
