Registration closes on Monday, October 27. The organizer offers a "No-Medal" registration option and provides an enamel finisher pin for every participant. An 8 Mile Ruck Division is available; dry weight recommendations are 30 lbs for people over 150 lbs and 20 lbs for people 150 lbs or less. The ruck is no longer a separate distance option, and heavier or non-rucking gear intended for first responder duties is not allowed to start.
Course and race logistics
The course is an approximately 8 mile loop around the park perimeter using the Riverwalk, Longleaf Pine, and Stagecoach trails. About 90% of the route is trail and 10% is road. One loop has roughly 125 feet of elevation gain and descent. Trails include roots, twists, turns, water crossings, and bridges. The route will be marked with flags and arrows.
There are two aid stations: a fully furnished start/finish pavilion with restrooms, and a mile 4 station with water, electrolytes, and snacks (no restroom at mile 4). Pacers are allowed only for the 50K and only for the final two loops; only one pacer per runner is permitted and runners must carry their own supplies. Awards go to the top three male and female finishers in each distance, plus one DFL award per distance; there are no age group awards.
