Northern Nipmuck Trail Race

Located in Union, Connecticut, the Northern Nipmuck Trail Race is a 16-mile ultramarathon staged just outside Bigelow Hollow State Park. The course runs south on the Nipmuck Trail through the Yale-Myers Forest, crosses Barlow Mill Rd at mile 4, then reaches a turnaround at Boston Hollow before retracing the route. Distance may be slightly less due to terrain.

The event offers a low-key, rugged vibe; navigation is required as the blue-blazed trail features minimal aid at key points. Proceeds support local trail organizations, including funding for a bridge at Breakneck Pond. Parking is at the park; start across the street.
