NPSWC March for Sickle Cell - Event
The Neuse Pamlico Sound Women’s Coalition, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, will hold the 9th annual hybrid 5K run/walk on March 14, 2026. The event combines an in-person race at Union Point Park, 210 E Front Street, New Bern, NC, with a virtual 5K option. Virtual participants must submit their timing information by the end of the day on March 14. T-shirts will be mailed to virtual participants if requested; in-person participants receive shirts at the event.

Registration, logistics and awards
Early registration is priced at $30 until midnight, January 24, 2026; the regular fee is $35 after that date. Children ages 1-10 have a registration fee of $15. A military discount of $25 is available during early registration with a discount code. Early packet pickup is scheduled for March 13 from 3:00 to 6:30 PM at Coastal Sole, 4149 Dr. ML King Jr. Blvd., New Bern, NC. Awards include medals for male and female 1st and 2nd place winners in these age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. The event is timed by Run The East, LLC. The RaceJoy mobile app will be available for live GPS tracking, progress alerts, and cheers; participants must carry their phone and activate tracking to use it. Door prizes will be given away.
