Courses and logistics
Both courses loop inside Prospect Park. The half marathon starts on East Drive and makes just under four full loops before a final turn onto Center Drive to the finish. The marathon starts on Center Drive, uses two lower loops and six full loops, then finishes with a left turn off East Drive onto Center Drive. Water, electrolyte fluids, restrooms, and medical support are available on course. All NYCRUNS courses are USATF certified.
Start corrals are pace-based, assigned AA-F and shown on the bib. Bibs require a unique QR code for pickup; members may receive mailed bibs if registered early and to U.S. addresses. Bag check requires a single clear bag; organizers may provide a clear bag if needed. Awards are given to the top three male, female, and non-binary overall finishers (gun time) and top three in multiple age groups. Handcycle and wheelchair participation is not advised due to course turns. Transportation details note nearby subway, bus, and bike options; parking is limited.
