NYCRUNS Frozen Bonsai 5K : Prospect Park, Brooklyn (February 14, 2026)

The event is a 5K road race held in Prospect Park, Brooklyn. The course covers just under one full loop of the park and finishes with a final sprint up Center Drive. The course is USATF-certified. Start corrals are pace-based and assigned by letter (AA-F); corral assignments appear on the bib and are located on Well House Drive. The Festival Area is in the Nethermead and is accessible via Center Drive or walking paths off Well House Drive. The race finish returns participants to the Festival Area.

Amenities, bibs, awards and policies

Event amenities include bag check (participants must use one clear bag; a clear bag of 18" x 24" will be provided if needed), portable bathrooms, on-course hydration, electrolyte fluids and cans of smartwater at the finish, and post-race refreshments including bagels with schmear and fresh fruit. Race swag consists of a tech shirt and a finisher medal; shirts are available for pickup on race day only and sizes are not guaranteed. Race photos will be available by email after the event.

Bibs are available for pickup in the Festival Area on race day with a unique QR code. NYCRUNS members may have bibs mailed if registered at least 20 days before the event and to a U.S. address; shirts are not mailed. Results will be emailed and posted online. Awards go to the top three male, female, and non-binary overall (by gun time) and top three in each age group by net/chip time. The event has a no-refunds, no-transfers policy; members may withdraw for race credit. Strollers and dogs are not allowed. Time limits apply and earbud use may lead to disqualification if it hinders awareness. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
