About the race
NYCRUNS Haunted Island 10K is held on Governors Island in New York Harbor. The USATF-certified course is two laps around the island, offering harbor and skyline views. The event doubles as a Halloween celebration, with costumes encouraged, a post-race costume contest, decorations, and festive vibes.
Entry includes a Governor Island ferry ride for runners and guests, a tech shirt, post-race snacks, candy, and a complimentary race photo. Bibs and shirts are picked up in the Festival Area near the ferry terminal, with finish near the start. A pace-based corrals system helps manage waves in this festive cross-island course.
