Event overview

The Olympic Adventure Trail Run (OAT Run) takes place on April 11, 2026 in Port Angeles, Washington. The race uses single-track trail along Kelly Ridge between Olympic National Park and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Entry is limited to 130 runners per distance. Registration is open now, pre-registration is required and closes April 10, 2026. Entry fees: 12K $48, Half Marathon $63, 50K $88, youth all distances $35. The event is cupless; a reusable HydraPak SpeedCup is available at packet pickup.

Course details and logistics

The 12K is about 7 miles with roughly 600 ft elevation gain; water/electrolyte stations at mile 4 and the finish. The half marathon is just under 13 miles with about 1,300 ft gain; water stations at mile 6, mile 10, and the finish. The 50K is out-and-back, all singletrack, with about 4,500 ft cumulative gain; water stations listed at miles 3.2, 7, 12, 15.5, 19, 24, and 27.8. Portable toilets (Sanicans) are provided at designated locations on each course. A shuttle to the start is mandatory and return shuttles run from the finish back to parking/party. The event includes a well-marked course, chip timing, race photos, hydration and snacks at aid stations, and an after-party at Extreme Sports Park with a hot meal, a beer garden benefiting a local nonprofit, and door prizes.

Additional notes: the trail remains open to the public during the race (bikes and horses possible), transfers allowed until three days before the race, and a 50% refund is available until March 15; no refunds after that date except via purchased insurance or organizer cancellation policy.
