Event overview
The 42nd Annual Firecracker Run will take place in O'Fallon, Missouri on July 4, 2026. The event is presented by Mercy and features multiple distances:

- 1 Mile Fun Run
Registration fees listed are $46 for the 5K or 10K and $36 for the 1 Mile Fun Run. Discount packages include a Partners Package (5% off total registration) and a Team of Four Package (7% off total registration). Nearly 200 volunteers support the event in roles such as course guides, water stations, and a runners-only area.
Route, logistics and extras
Runners start outside CarShield Field and finish over homeplate. Packet pick-up is offered in the days before the race at the O'Fallon Chamber of Commerce offices and on race day at CarShield Field. All finishers receive a finisher medal. Registered participants receive a T-shirt, swag and a race packet.
Parking is available in designated lots including Christian School District and Fort Zumwalt North parking areas. The race is associated with the Heritage & Freedom Fest, which includes a parade, carnival and fireworks after the event. The event lists multiple sponsors and named partners.
