Medals are awarded to the top male and female 5K finishers in each age group: 8 & under, 9 to 12, 13 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, and 70 & over. A course map was provided for the event. Previous fundraising around the event raised about $14,000 for the school to support updated technology and moving and servicing a donated commercial color copier.
