About the race
The Officer Daniel Ellis Memorial 5K is an annual running and walking event held at the scenic White Hall State Historic Site in Richmond, Kentucky. The 10th edition is scheduled for November 1, 2025. Participants can choose between an in-person 5K run/walk or a virtual 5K option.
The course features a closed, paved loop trail around the historic park, starting and finishing in front of the White Hall Mansion, with a water station at mile 1.8. The event offers chip timing, age group awards, commemorative shirts, free race photos, and entertainment by a DJ. It honors a fallen hero while supporting the local community.
