Old Pueblo Endurance Runs
The Old Pueblo Endurance Runs, held in Sonoita, Arizona, is one of the oldest trail ultramarathons in the state, established in 1985. The event features challenging 50-mile and 25-mile distances along rugged trails on the flanks of the scenic Santa Rita Mountains. Starting at the historic Kentucky Camp mining site, runners traverse the Arizona Trail beneath Mt.
Wrightson, a prominent 9,452-foot peak. The course offers a blend of natural beauty and rich history, following paths once used by Native Americans, early ranchers, and miners. The race fosters a pioneering spirit and is part of the Southern Arizona Triple 50 series, with special incentives for finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
