About the race
Orca Half Marathon is a running festival on the shores of West Seattle, starting at Lincoln Park and finishing at Don Armeni Boat Launch. The event offers a USATF-certified half marathon and an 8-mile option, with a flat, scenic course along the Alki Trail that reveals views of Seattle, Blake Island, Vashon Island, and Puget Sound. The route is point-to-point with brief out-and-back sections; roads are not closed to traffic, and runners share a parking lane.
The race emphasizes sustainability with a cupless policy, gear check, and aid stations every 2–3 miles with water, Tailwind, and GU. Whale Scout benefits. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
