Ostomy 5k

The 2nd Annual Downers Grove, IL Ostomy 5k, part of the Run for Resilience series, takes place in Downers Grove at Byram Healthcare (3010 Woodcreek Drive). It features a looped 5k course starting on Birchwood Place, heading to Lacey Road, then Woodcreek Drive, and returning to Birchwood Place for the finish. The event is family-friendly and celebrates World Ostomy Day, with a 50-yard dash Kids Run for ages 5 and under and another for ages 6–10.

Proceeds benefit United Ostomy Associations of America, with a cap of 100 participants as an official UOAA event since 2024, plus medals, refreshments, and fundraising opportunities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
