Event
The Ouachita Trail 50 takes place on April 18, 2026 in Little Rock, Arkansas at Maumelle Park Pavilion #8. This is the 35th running of the event. The race is organized by a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and proceeds benefit Pinnacle Mountain State Park. Distances:
- 50 Mile
- 50 km
Course and logistics
Both races start and finish near Maumelle Park and use the eastern section of the Ouachita National Recreation Trail. The course begins and ends with about two miles of pavement, includes a climb over Pinnacle Mountain, and features rocky, single-track trail along the north shore of Lake Maumelle. The trail is marked with permanent blue blazes, two blue blazes for turns, and additional blue-and-white ribbons. The 50K diverts from the main trail near the 16 mile point.
Aid and support include eleven staffed aid stations for the 50 Mile and seven for the 50K. Drop bags are sent to Northshore and Hwy 10 (50 mile only); crews may meet runners at specified parking and trailhead locations. Packets may be picked up on Friday at Fleet Feet Little Rock or at Pavilion #8 on race morning. Race shirts require earlier registration to guarantee size. There is a time limit for the 50 Mile and evening cut-offs for both races; cut-offs are strictly enforced and the course may be rerouted if park conditions require. Volunteers will direct race parking; parking along Pinnacle Valley Road is not allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
