Owens Cross Roads PTO Turkey Trot 5K and Fun Run
The Owens Cross Roads PTO Turkey Trot takes place on November 15, 2025, at Owens Cross Roads School, 161 Wilson Mann Road, Owens Cross Roads, AL 35763. This is the inaugural edition of the event. The course is a 5K loop through the Owens Cross Roads community and is described as walker and stroller friendly. A shorter, kid-friendly fun run covers 1 mile.

Logistics, amenities, and policies
The event offers a free race T-shirt to the first 100 registered participants and a professionally timed 5K. Vendors, food trucks, and activities for children will be available. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers in multiple age groups. Proceeds support Owens Cross Roads Elementary PTO programs, events, student activities, the Soaring Eagle Scholarship, and a fundraising goal for playground equipment.
Packet pickup is scheduled on Thursday, November 13 and Friday, November 14 at specified locations, with additional pickup available on race day. All entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. The PTO Board and school administration will monitor weather and make decisions using guidance from the National Weather Service and local authorities; any delays or cancellations will be announced on the event channels listed by the organizers.
