Event overview
The Owosso Glow 5K Run/Walk takes place on Friday, November 28, 2025, in Owosso, Michigan. The event features a 5K run/walk through downtown Owosso and is followed by a Glow Parade and the lighting of the Christmas tree. After the race there will be a free horse and carriage ride through downtown and opportunities to visit local businesses. The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation.
Entry, awards and logistics
Standard entry fees are tiered: $35 prior to October 31, 2025; $40 from November 1 to November 20; and $45 from November 21 through race day. Registrants who sign up by November 20 are guaranteed a t-shirt while supplies last. Packet pickup is available the day of the race at the Armory, 215 N. Water St., Owosso, MI 48867. Awards include an overall award for the top male and top female finisher and medals for the top three finishers in each age group. Age groups are: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 and over. Proceeds support Downtown Owosso holiday activities including Glow events, the parade, visits with Santa, and horse and carriage rides.
