Santa Runs Palm Springs (formerly the Santa Paws 5K) takes place in Palm Springs, CA. The event provides a full Santa suit to each registered 5K participant to wear during the event and keep. A portion of proceeds and any donations support the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.

The 5K follows a mostly flat course with one small hill, beginning in the Temple Isaiah parking lot at 332 West Alejo Rd. and passing through the Las Palmas neighborhood. Strollers and dogs are allowed; dogs must be on a leash and owners must clean up after them. Porta-potties will be available at the finish area. The event uses chip timing and provides finisher medals to all registered participants, plus milk and cookies for registered participants.
Packet pickup and late registration are available at Ruth Hardy Park (700 Tamarisk Road) on Friday, December 6; additional packet pickup will be available the morning of the event at the race site. The 5K has a cutoff time of 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Awards include division medals for the first three men and women in five-year age divisions through 85+, overall top three male and female finishers, top three fastest teams, largest team, and top three strollers and dogs. Registration fee structure for the 5K includes tiered pricing from October through race day; the Elf Dash entry is listed at $15 through race day.
