About the race
Palm Springs WILD TURKEY TROT 5K is a Thanksgiving morning event in Palm Springs, California, offering a 5K race and Virtual 5K. The flat, certified course starts and finishes in downtown Palm Springs along Palm Canyon and is walker, stroller, and dog-friendly. Festive outfits are encouraged, with Santa making an appearance.
Each 5K participant receives a tech shirt, finisher medal, finisher photo, and a wild turkey hat, plus knee-high socks. Top finishers earn trophies; a bonus medal is awarded for completing the Tram Road Challenge. Proceeds support Mizell Center's Meals on Wheels.
