Course and logistics

Courses use trails in Usery Mountain Regional Park and nearby Tonto National Forest and Goldfield Mountains. The 50 Mile route travels into the Goldfield Mountains, links to the Maricopa Trail, runs the Hawes Trail System, and returns via the Pass Mountain Trail. The 50K consists of two 25K loops with exposed, rocky, and steep sections and a long stretch without aid between Levee Aid and the start/finish. Shorter distances remain mostly inside Usery Mountain Park on cholla forest and single-track trails.

Aid stations are stocked every 3.0 to 8.6 miles with water, electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, and fruit; runners are asked to carry at least one water bottle. This is a cupless event; participants should bring a reusable cup or purchase one onsite. Crew and pacer rules vary by distance: pacers are permitted only for the 50 Mile at specified aid stations; crew access is allowed at designated locations. Remote drop bags, parking details, shuttles, course markings, and on-site medical support are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
