Course, services and awards
The planned course was a loop of at least 10 miles on rolling grass trails with some sandy sections. Aid stations were listed as available approximately every 2-3 miles. The published cutoff time for the event was 36 hours. Race timing was to be provided by Trailhead Ultras.
On-course and post-race provisions were described as including hot grilled food (examples listed: bacon, smoked brisket, chicken, quesadillas, griddle cakes) plus typical ultra fare and drinks (snack bars, pickles and pickle juice, soda, bananas). Entry fees included a donation of $10 per registration to Polk County Parks and Recreation. An electronics recycling collection by ROCYCLE was planned on site, with proceeds to be donated to Polk County Parks and Recreation. Awards listed included 1st through 5th overall by gender, age-category recognitions (masters, grandmasters, senior grandmasters), oldest finisher awards, and a buckle for all 100-mile finishers.
