Pear Run & Pear Ruck
The Pear Run and Pear Ruck take place on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at Independence Park in Pearland, Texas (3449 Pearland Parkway). The event collection includes an inaugural Pear Ruck 10K plus the Pear Run courses. The Pear Run offers USATF certified routes for both the 5K and the 10K. The 5K is an out-and-back course that starts and finishes inside Independence Park and is open to runners and walkers. The 10K course also starts and finishes inside Independence Park.

Everyone who completes their course will receive a finisher medal. Race t-shirts are available for early registrants. Awards are given to the top male and female overall and to the top finisher in each age group. The event is organized by the Pearland Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association (PCPAAA). Funds raised support the Pearland Police Department and have been used for items such as police bicycles, K9 officers, contributions to a mobile command center, and a fallen officer memorial garden.
