Pilar McLemore Butterfly Run
The Pilar McLemore Butterfly Run takes place on November 1, 2025 at the Longview Arboretum & Nature Center in Longview, Texas. This is the 3rd annual edition. The starting point is at the Arboretum West Gate, facing Maude Cobb. The event includes a 5K run/walk and a free Little Bug Run for children.
The Little Bug Run is open to ages 12 and under and takes place through the Arboretum gardens. Registration for the 5K is listed at $35; the Little Bug Run is free. Participants who register by October 10 are guaranteed a t-shirt.
Event features and beneficiaries
Proceeds from the event benefit the Texas Oncology Foundation, with funds intended to support families facing cancer in East Texas. Event registration includes Arboretum admission, a Chick-Fil-A breakfast, a Swag Bag, and a race bib. Wearing butterfly wings is encouraged but not required.
