About the race
Play it Forward Veterans 5K is a 5K run or walk at Hickories Park in Owego, New York. The fundraiser benefits Play It Forward, a nonprofit that refurbishes and distributes handmade instruments to aspiring musicians. The event, new to Hickories Park, takes place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, with a course conducted entirely within the park.
Pre-race packet pickup is available the day before at Watermans Cafe & Tasting Barn in Apalachin; same-day registration is offered at the park (no shirt). Post-race festivities include refreshments, an awards ceremony for overall and age groups, best dressed recognition, and a music-filled celebration honoring veterans.
