Event

The Polar Bear Plunge 5K takes place on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Copperas Cove City Park in Copperas Cove, TX (1206 W Avenue B). The race is part of the Centex Race Series. The start and finish are at the City Park Pool and the course consists of three laps around the park. After the run, participants are invited to enter the City Park Pool for the Polar Bear Plunge and may take part in a belly flop event.

Registration and logistics

Base registration is $25. The price increases after January 6, 2026. Online registration ends January 14, 2026 at 4:00 pm. Registrations completed by January 3 are guaranteed a shirt. Onsite late registration opens at 6:45 am on race morning. Bib and bag pickup is scheduled for January 15 and 16 at the Copperas Cove Civic Center (1206 W Ave B) from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm; pickup will not be available before 9:00 am.
