Ponderosa Polar Challenge
The Ponderosa Polar Challenge is a unique endurance running event held at Zion Ponderosa Ranch Resort near Zion National Park in Orderville, Utah. Scheduled for November 8-10, 2025, it offers a wide range of distances from 1 mile to 150 miles, all to be completed within a 52-hour time limit. The course features two loops (1-mile and 4-5 miles) that participants can run in either direction.
The event emphasizes adventure, community, and personal achievement over speed. Ultra-distance runners receive meals and aid station snacks, while shorter distance runners have breakfast included and optional meal upgrades. Camping is included for all participants, with cabin lodging available at a discount.
Proceeds support dog rescues and trail maintenance groups, honoring adventurers Lois Krotz and Tom McCabe. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
