The Poppy Love 5K - "In Memory of Poppy" takes place on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at JL Mitch #5 Pavilion, 1501 W. Covell Rd., Edmond, OK 73003. This is the fourth annual running of the event. The event offers the following distance options:
- 5K - timed 5K
- 1 Mile - 1-mile walk
- Virtual 5K - run remotely
The event began as a fundraiser after a puppy survived parvovirus with help from a veterinary assistance program. It raises funds to provide financial assistance to Oklahoma-based rescues.
Registration and logistics
Entry fees listed are $35 for the 5K, $25 for the 1-mile walk, and $30 for the virtual 5K. Prices increase after April 15, 2026 at 11:59pm CDT. Register by May 15, 2026 to receive a race t-shirt and swag bag; registrations after that date may not include a runner’s bag or t-shirt. Dogs are welcome to attend the event.
