Post Canyon Half Marathon : Hood River, OR
The Post Canyon event is a trail half marathon held in Hood River, Oregon. The event marks its 12th birthday and uses the BINNS Hill Staging Area for the start and finish. Registration closes on Wed, Aug 19. The event is described as cup-less and includes finisher prize bags for all participants. Some racers may receive bonus prizes with retail values reported between $10 and $170.
Course, rules and logistics
The course runs on Hood River County Forestry Tree Farm and may change; organizers do not release course maps for that reason. The route includes about 2,300 ft of elevation gain, multiple mountain views toward Oregon and Washington, and small waterfalls along Bridge Creek crossings. There are two official aid stations and additional bonus stations for snacks and entertainment. All racers must carry a water bottle (minimum 24 oz) or use a hydration pack. Pets and earbuds are not allowed. Number pick-up takes place the morning of the race. Registered racers will receive an email the Thursday before the event.
