PPP3CA Rare Disease 5k Run/Walk
The 2nd Annual PPP3CA Rare Disease 5k Run/Walk takes place at Lake Shawnee in Topeka, Kansas. Participants can choose between a 1-mile walk or a 5k run/walk to support children affected by PPP3CA, a rare genetic disorder causing neurodevelopmental challenges and severe epilepsy. The event fosters a supportive atmosphere aimed at raising funds for research, building on last year’s success of nearly $15,000 raised to fund a research mouse model.
Both in-person and virtual participation options are available, encouraging community involvement and awareness. Donations directly support the PPP3CA Hope Foundation’s efforts to advance research and find a cure. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
Always double-check with the organizer's website – things can change, and we might have sprinted past a few details!
