Prairie Fire Race Series overview

The Prairie Fire Marathon began in 2010 and was formerly known as the Wichita Marathon. Over about 15 years, more than 60,000 runners have taken part. Participants have come from all 50 U.S. states and from more than 20 foreign countries. The Wichita Sports Commission reports it has contributed over $200,000 from the event to local charities and organizations.
