About the race
The Pumpkin Smash 5K & Kid's Fun Run is an annual running event held at Falling Springs Recreation Center in Versailles, Kentucky. Featuring a scenic paved 5K course, the event includes a 5K run/walk and a 200-yard Kid's Fun Run for children aged 9 and under. A unique highlight is the Pumpkin Smash, where leftover Halloween pumpkins are hoisted and smashed with the help of the Versailles Fire Department.
Participants enjoy commemorative T-shirts, free race photos, awards for top finishers, music, food, and community fellowship.
