The Puppy Love 5K Run/Walk takes place on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Palmetto Islands County Park, 444 Needlerush Parkway, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464. Event entries listed include:

The standard entry fee is listed as $40. Entry with one dog is listed as $45. Kids 10 and under run free but must be accompanied by an adult, do not receive race swag, and are not officially timed. Packet pickup is available at Blue Sky Endurance, 624 Coleman Blvd, on Friday, February 6 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, and on Saturday at Palmetto Islands County Park from 8:00 am to 8:30 am.
Race features and rules
The event is dog friendly for well socialized dogs on a leash, with a limit of one dog per handler. The minimum age for a runner with a dog is 12 years old. Owners running with dogs are asked to carry a pick up bag for pet waste. Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers with a dog, plus themed awards including Best Dog in pajamas, Best Dog/Owner in pajamas, Best Group in pajamas, Best Overall pajama theme, and a Doggy Dash winner. Prizes are sponsored by Dolittle’s Pet Shop. The event supports the Charleston Animal Society. All participants receive a race t-shirt and a matching bandana for their dog.
