Event overview
Q50 Races Chupacabra takes place on November 7, 2025, at Bogue Chitto State Park, 17049 State Park Blvd, Franklinton, LA 70438. The event is a night trail race with two distance options:
- 5 miles
- 10 miles
There is a $3.00 per person park entrance fee. Food for participants will be provided by the New Orleans Mission. Handmade medals and awards are listed for finishers.
Course, rules and logistics
The course is a dirt trail described as scenic with some small hills and not technical. The 5-mile option is one loop; the 10-mile option is two loops. There is one aid station at the finish line that will supply water and gatorade; 5-mile runners may not pass any stations during the loop. Runners must carry their own hydration container because cups will not be provided.
Mandatory gear and rules include a bright headlamp or flashlight with extra batteries, a whistle, and a hydration system (camelback, bottle, or belt). Headphones are not allowed. No dogs, pacers, baby strollers, bicycles, or vehicles are permitted on the course. Participants must not remove or collect plants, animals, or rocks and must carry out all trash.
