Course, support and entries
The marathon and half marathon route runs around Otsego Lake and passes landmarks such as the Otesaga Hotel, The Farmers’ Museum, The Fenimore Art Museum, and the National Baseball Hall of Fame. The lake stays on the right for much of the route. The 5K and 10K start and finish inside Glimmerglass State Park, with most of those courses routed through the park.
Courses are supported with local volunteers, frequent aid stations (about every 1.5 to 2 miles) stocked with Gu, Honey Stingers, Powerade, and water, bicycle patrols, electronic safety signs, and law enforcement. Roads on the route remain open to traffic. Restrooms are provided on course, and the finish area at Glimmerglass State Park includes a beach, showers at the campground, food, beer, music, awards, and a post-race lunch included for participants. Registered finishers receive a commemorative medal; shirts are guaranteed for registrations by May 20, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
