Race to the Flagpole
The Race to the Flagpole is scheduled for Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Independence Park in Livermore. It is the Livermore Granada Boosters’ main fundraiser and proceeds support the Livermore Granada Boosters Olympian Scholarship program. The event is open to all ages and abilities and is organized to encourage fitness awareness and community pride.

Bibs may be picked up on race day at the registration table or beforehand at Sports Basement in San Ramon on Thursday, January 23. All participants receive a commemorative t-shirt, medal, and post-race refreshments. The top male and female finishers are recognized in the 1 Mile, 5k, and 10k. Schools are recognized both for the most participants and for the fastest elementary, middle, and high school teams. Course maps are available for the 5k and 10k.
Olympian Award Banquet
The Olympian Award Banquet is set for Monday, May 18, 2026, at Livermore High School Gym. The banquet recognizes students, teams, coaches, and community members for athletic achievements and academic support. Community and government leaders regularly attend. The banquet is typically held the third Monday in May.
Ticketing: the general cost is $35, with a reduced price of $10 for children 12 and under. Varsity coaches, varsity athletes, and Hall of Fame recipients attend free; varsity athletes obtain tickets through their athletic directors. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
