The event offers trail racing near Blue River / Rainbow, Oregon, with proceeds partly donated to Bridgeway House, a school and service provider for children and families affected by autism spectrum disorder in Lane County. The 20K starts from the upper McKenzie community center and includes about 2,600 ft of climbing to the Kings Castle summit, then returns mostly downhill to the finish. The 50K uses a shuttle from the same community center to Olallie North trailhead and begins with an uphill section that gains about 3,400 ft in the first 6 miles. The 50K route reaches Horsepasture Mountain (5,675 ft) and Macduff Mountain (5,060 ft), includes an out-and-back section through a creek drainage, and finishes after a final climb to Kings Castle followed by a descent to the covered bridge and the community center.
Aid stations for the 20K are located near Rd 480/Kings Castle at about miles 3.85 and 7.9. The 50K has multiple aid points, including stops near Horsepasture Mountain at miles 4.6 and 7.14, Forest Rd 411 at mile 14.3, O'Leary/Castle Rock trailhead at mile 17.3 (cutoff 2:00 PM), East Fork trailhead at mile 19.8, O'Leary again at mile 22.3 (cutoff 3:30 PM), Rd 480/Kings Castle at mile 28.5, and the finish at mile 32.4 (cutoff 6:00 PM).
