Storm The Castle is a half marathon held at Kings Castle Trailhead in Blue River, Oregon. The course uses the Kings Castle and Castle Rock Trails and follows a lollipop loop that reaches a summit with views of the Sisters mountains. The event is costume themed with a medieval focus. Logistics and awards
Bib pickup is on the morning of the race at the start/finish venue. A hot lunch and beverages are provided by Ninkasi Brewing after the race. Awards include medals for the top three male and female finishers, an award for top masters male and female, and a free pair of Altra trail shoes for first place male and female. The first male and first female to the top of the course receive the King/Queen of the Castle award.
The race is held under a special use permit in partnership with the US Forest Service, Willamette National Forest.
