The Reindeer Romp 4k Run/Walk takes place on December 6, 2025 at Hogan's Fountain in Cherokee Park, Louisville, KY. The event is the first leg of the Polar Bear Grand Prix and is also part of the River City Races Run the 502 series. The course uses the Scenic Loop in Cherokee Park.

Race details and entries

The event features a 4 Kilometer (2.4 miles) run and walk, with in-person and virtual participation options. Entry includes a long sleeve race shirt, a finisher medal, free race photography and photos with Rudolph, age group and overall awards, team and costume contests, and a virtual option; packet mailing is available for an additional fee. The Polar Bear Grand Prix awards a finisher medal for each race; the series medals fit together to form a larger Polar Bear Grand Prix medal. The Polar Bear Grand Prix Team Challenge accepts 3 to 5 person teams in Male, Female, or Coed divisions; the fastest three on each team are scored. The costume contest has categories such as Most Christmasy, Ugliest Sweater, Best Hat, Best Couple Costume, Best Group Costume, Best Stroller Costume, and Fastest Costumed Male and Female.

Logistics and fundraising

Virtual participants can submit results from December 11 until midnight on December 14; finisher certificates and rankings are available December 15. Parking near Hogan's Fountain and around the Scenic Loop is limited; parking on the grass is prohibited.
