About the race
Charleston hosts the 34th Annual Reindeer Run/Walk, a family-friendly, pet-friendly 5K in downtown Charleston, presented by Half Moon Outfitters and The Charleston Place. The course starts and finishes on N Market Street near the Charleston Place Hotel (address 137 N Market St). The event offers a 5K for general participants and a separate Child Registration for ages 5–16.
The event has grown to a record attendance of over 3,500 runners. A popular costume contest includes Adult, Child, Group, and Dog categories with prizes. Net proceeds benefit MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital.
