Rend Lake Marathon

The Rend Lake Marathon, held in Barren Township, Illinois, offers marathon, half-marathon, and quarter-marathon distances on a USATF-certified course. Set against the scenic backdrop of Rend Lake, a 18,900-acre water and 20,000-acre land recreational area, the race features gorgeous paved paths, rolling country roads, and panoramic lake views. The course passes landmarks such as South Sandusky Beach, the Marina, Rend Lake Visitors Center, and the spillway, winding through vistas of Lake Hamilton and Lake Benton before finishing at North Marcum Beach.
