Course and awards
The course uses Franklin State Forest's West Rim and West Side trails. It is a large loop that runs along the rim and overlooks coves on either side. The race name refers to running along the rim of a cove and references Tennessee's history of rum running during prohibition. The trail system is a few miles from the Perimeter Trail.
Awards include a buckle made from three layers of welded steel. Sawed, hand-branded whiskey barrel staves are used for the 50-miler awards. Participants receive one X for each completed loop. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
