About the race
River City Run in Decatur, Alabama, is a longstanding spring road race offering 5K, 10K, a 10K/5K Double, and a Kids Fun Run. The 10K and 5K are flat and fast, with the 10K starting in residential streets for about 3.5 miles before finishing on the park and golf course perimeter road along the Tennessee River; the 5K is an out-and-back that also ends on the same perimeter route. The Kids Fun Run loops the Spirit of America Field area, and finishers medals are awarded for 10K and 5K.
