Event overview
Rock Cobbler Run is an off-road trail run held at Rio Bravo Ranch in Bakersfield, CA. The event is limited to 300 runners and has an entry fee of $150. Runners are professionally timed and the first male and female finisher receive a special gift. There are no official categories, and the organizer states no refunds. Entry includes a swag bag, a special gift for all runners, auto-entry in a silent raffle, and food and beverage service before and after the run.

The full course has about 4500 ft of elevation gain. The route is fully off road with rocky, dirt and trail surfaces; some hiking is expected. Fully stocked aid stations and SAG support with fluid hydration and food will be on course. Required gear includes good trail shoes and sock/shoe gaiters; shirts are required. Event rules prohibit ear buds and outside support. Participants must reach the final SAG stop by 4 pm or organizers reserve the right to remove them from the course. Venue services include on-site packet pickup, a pasta dinner, breakfast and post-run lunch. Car and RV camping is available for a fee, without services.
